We had a fantastic time during our stay at The Old Stables 17A! The property was beautifully laid out and spotlessly clean. It felt spacious and had lovely little extras like breakfast cereal boxes for the kids and twinkly lamps for the evenings. The suntrap terrace was a pleasant surprise with its butterfly-attracting buddleia bush. The location was perfect for exploring Dumfries & Galloway, and the two bathrooms were a definite bonus. Highly recommended!
Would recommend this hotel.

The location of the property was ideal for attending an event at the nearby Ice Bowl and exploring the town center, both just a short drive or walk away. The property itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The communication from the owner was excellent, and they even provided a tray of breakfast cereals and Tunnocks Caramel Wafers as a thoughtful touch. The free WiFi worked well throughout our stay.
One minor inconvenience was the lack of blinds on the Velux windows in the bedrooms, which made it difficult to sleep in once the sun rose. although the property had a lovely garden area, it would have been nice to have some pots or plants to add some color and enhance the overall aesthetic.

The Old Stables is conveniently located within walking distance to town, with off-road parking and a private garden. The property is beautifully decorated and clean, with quality cutlery, crockery, and utensils. The beds are comfortable, and there are two toilets available. The back garden is secure, perfect for letting dogs out. The property provides a cozy and spacious atmosphere, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.
It would be useful to have blinds on the skylight windows upstairs to block out the light during the summer.

We were pleasantly surprised when we entered the house - it was much larger than it appeared from the outside. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with everything we needed for our stay. The location was convenient, and we enjoyed the private parking. The back garden was a great bonus, especially for our dogs. we had a fantastic time at the Old Stables 17A and would definitely recommend it for families.
The back garden could use a bit of tidying up, and it would have been great to have blinds on the skylights upstairs for better sleep. However, these were very minor issues that didn't significantly impact our stay.

The rooms at this accommodation were clean, comfortable, and spacious, perfect for our family of 6. We were pleasantly surprised to find a welcome tray with coffee, tea, cereals, and jams, as well as toiletries and towels provided. the property was beautifully laid out and had everything we needed, including two bathrooms. the location was also fantastic, allowing us to easily explore Dumfries and Galloway. We especially enjoyed spending time on the suntrap terrace, sipping tea and taking in the beautiful butterfly-filled garden.
The lack of blinds on the velux windows in the bedrooms made it difficult to sleep past 6am when it got light outside. the bathroom/toilet locks didn't work properly, which was a bit inconvenient.

I appreciated the complimentary snacks and beverages that were provided. I had a fantastic stay and I highly recommend this place.
In terms of drawbacks, the only minor issue was the lack of blinds on the skylight windows, difficult to sleep in the summer. considering the really good service and quality of the hotel, this was not a major concern.
